ADJUSTMENTS
PRESSURE REGULATOR:

Turn off main gas to unit.
Remove broiler bottom (6 sheet metal screws).
Remove pilot line valve from manifold.
Install
a fitting
appropriate
to connect a manometer.
Be sure both valves are in the "OFF"
position
and turn on main gas.
Ignite rear burner by hand and then front burner.
With burners full on, read manometer. It should read 4" W.C. for natural
gas and 10" W.C. for
propane gas. (If pressure is satisfactory,
go to Step 10.1
Remove cap from top of regulator.
With a screwdriver,
rotate adjustment screw "clockwise"
to increase, or "counterclockwise"
to
decrease, pressure until manometer shows correct reading.
Turn burner valves to "OFF"
position.
Turn main gas off.
Remove manometer
fitting.
Replace pilot valve in manifold.
Put bottom on.
Turn on main gas.
Light pilot.
Verify proper burner ignition.
TROUBLE SHOOTING:
Problem
Look for -
Unit will not turn on
- main gas supply "OFF."
- pilot out.
Burners produce excessive
carbon deposits
- incorrect
gas type.
- incorrect
supply pressure.
- primary
air not adjusted properly.
- incorrect
orifices.
Pilot produces excessive
carbon deposits
- pilot gas not adjusted properly.
- incorrect
gas type.
- incorrect
supply pressure.
Pilot will not stay ignited
- pilot gas not adjusted properly.
- clogged orifice.
- draft condition.
- improper ventilation
system.
- air in gas line.
