15. „Akku 2" (battery 2) charge output
The "Akku 2" charge output is designed for recharging Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd) and Nickel-Metal-Hy-
dride (NiMH) batteries consisting of 4 to 8 cells. The outputs "Akku 1" and "Akku 2" can be used at the
same time. This enables you to charge a flight or drive battery together with a receiver or transmitter
battery, which is very convenient.
The automatic "Battery FULL" detection circuit operates on the Delta-Peak principle, like the "Akku 1"
charge output, but the threshold voltage is fixed, and cannot be altered.
This output is very simple to use, and requires no more than setting the charge current and starting the
process.
The charge current has a default value, and you can pre-set this in the User Menu so that the appropri-
ate value is set automatically every time you connect a battery. This is especially useful if you always
wish to charge at the same rate, as this saves you having to set the charge current.
Note: if you wish to charge a transmitter battery at the "Akku 2" output, please read the information in
Section 3. of the General Operating Notes.

Setting the charge current „Akku 2" charge output
When you connect a battery to the "Akku 2" charge output, the
screen display switches to "Akku 2 setup" mode.
Use the INC / DEC buttons to set the charge current to suit the
battery; each press changes the value by 50 mA.
Once you have selected the correct setting, initiate the charge
process by pressing the START button.
