6.3.4.2 Adjusting the grip distance

Crash caused by incorrectly set grip distance
If brake cylinders are set incorrectly or installed
wrongly, the braking power may be lost at any
time. This may cause a crash with injuries.
 Once the grip distance has been set, check the
position of the brake cylinder and adjust it as
necessary.
Never correct the brake cylinder position without
special tools. Have a specialist dealer correct it.
 The brake lever grip distance can be adjusted
to ensure that it can be reached more easily.
Contact your specialist dealer if the brake
handle is too far from the handlebars or is
hard to use.

6.3.4.3 Adjusting the grip distance on a

Magura brake lever

Only applies to pedelecs with this equipment
Use a T25 TORX® wrench to turn the setting
screw to adjust the grip distance.
 Turn the setting screw in the minus
(–) direction.
 The brake lever moves closer to the
handlebar grip.
 Turn the setting screw in the plus (+) direction.
 The brake lever moves away from the
handlebar grip.
