Problem
There is no sound from the TV speakers.
There is no sound from the audio
output terminals.
There is no picture.
(POWER LED is lit orange.)
The image appears distorted.
AV5 mode cannot be selected.
PC DIGITAL mode cannot be
selected.
The image does not appear properly
in AV5 (DVI) or PC (digital) mode.
The image does not appear
properly in AV4 (HDMI) mode.
Troubleshooting
What to Check
- Adjust the volume. (Page E30)
- Are the audio cables properly connected?
(Pages E21 to E24 and E26)
- Did you press the MUTE button? (Page E31)
- No sound can be heard from the TV speakers while
headphones are connected.
- When "Output Select" is set to "Variable2" in the Option menu,
no sound can be heard from the TV speakers.
(Page E45 or E52)
- No sound can be heard from the TV speakers while the TV is in
power-saving mode.
- When headphones are connected, sound can be output from
these terminals only when "Fixed" is selected. (Page E13)
- Is the TV properly connected to the computer? (Pages E25 and E26)
- Is the computer turned on?
- Is the PC signal input terminal (analog or digital) properly
selected? (Page E29)
- Does the computer's signal timing correspond to TV
specifications? (Page E67)
- Is the computer in power-saving mode?
Try pressing a key on the keyboard or moving the mouse.
- Does the computer's signal timing correspond to TV
specifications? (Page E67)
- If you are using the analog signal, perform automatic screen
adjustment. (Page E46)
- Change the Vsync frequency (refresh rate) on the computer you
are using to a low value if possible. (Page E67)
- Have you switched to the display mode appropriate for the
connected equipment? (Page E29)
To select AV5 mode, set "DVI Select" to "AV" beforehand using
the Option menu. (Pages E42 and E45)
To select PC DIGITAL mode, set "DVI Select" to "PC" beforehand
using the Option menu. (Pages E47 and E52)
- Have you switched to the display mode appropriate for the
connected equipment? (Page E29)
- Turn off power to both the TV and the connected AV equipment,
or both the TV and the connected computer.
Reselect "DVI Select" setting following steps 1 through 7 on
page E24 (for "AV") or page E26 (for "PC").
Try turning off/on the TV and the connected AV equipment in the
following order:
- Turn off the AV equipment.
- Turn off the TV and turn it on after waiting at least 5 seconds.
- Turn on the AV equipment.
