Commissioning and settings

1 Preparation
• Motor at standstill
• Terminals L1-L2-L3 connected via motor windings
• Ensure connection of terminals X1-X2
• For DC motors or DC braking, also bridge X2-X3
• Setting of U
• Setting of t to minimum value (0.2 s) (potentiometer at the left stop)
2. Apply voltage at the correct level at A1-A2
⇒ After approx. 1 s the LEDs "DEVICE" and "OUT" light up green and the output circuits (normally
open contacts) are closed or the normally closed contact opens.
Likewise, the signaling output "64" switches on.
If the "OUT" LED lights up yellow, no standstill is detected. The reason for this can be injected
disturbance voltages on the lines to the measurement inputs. In this case, the lines must be
laid separately or shielded.
If the lines have been laid correctly and still no standstill is detected, the voltage threshold
must be set higher at the U
3. Start the motor
⇒ After the motor has started, LED "OUT" changes to yellow and output circuits (normally open
contacts) open, or the normally closed contacts close, signal output "64" switches off.
For DC motors, LED "SF" flashes after approx. 2 s with the fault message "Wire break / Offset
at L2" (flashing 2 times) and the signaling output "64" switches on.
4. Switch off motor (or DC braking), allow motor to coast down.
The number of revolutions of the motor at which the device detects standstill, i.e. the output
circuits are closed, can be set with the potentiometer U
down, the delay time t may have to be set to larger values in order to avoid alternate switching
on and off. If this does not produce a satisfactory result, the value of the U
also be set somewhat higher to avoid this effect.
While time "t" is elapsing, the "OUT" LED flashes green.
