Terminals and their functions

Supply voltage A1, A2
• Connection for the device supply.
• The voltage specifications on the nameplate of the device must be observed.
• Recommended fuse protection 2 A
Supply voltage A3, A4
• Connection for supplying the signaling outputs.
• 24 V DC (12...30 V) voltage for the semiconductor signaling outputs "ON" and "ERR".
This supply voltage is only necessary if the semiconductor signaling outputs are used.
Measurement inputs L1, L2, L3
The measurement inputs detect the voltage induced by residual magnetization of the coasting
motor at 3 terminals of the stator winding.
If the induction voltage approaches 0, this means motor standstill for the device.
The measurement inputs L1-L2-L3 must be connected directly to the windings of the motor
to be monitored for standstill (i.e. not via transformers, for example), so that continuous
monitoring of the windings and the supply cable for wire breakage is ensured.
The measurement inputs must not be disconnected by motor contactors, etc., otherwise wire
break faults will be triggered and no standstill detection is possible.
The cables between the measurement inputs and the motor must be routed separately or
shielded if possible to avoid interference coupling, otherwise the standstill monitor may not
detect a standstill. The shield can be connected to the motor.
Control terminals X1, X2, X3
Feedback circuit X1-X2: Use a floating contact here that provides appropriate isolation for the
level of maximum measurement input voltage (motor voltage).
