Danger – High Voltage!
Even with the appliance unplugged (i.e. circuit breaker shut off), high
voltage power remains present at the following components and poses a
risk of electrical shock:
High Voltage Transformer (T1)
High Voltage Capacitor (A4)
Diode (V1)
Protective Diode (V6)
Magnetron (G2)
The high-voltage system generates the microwave energy. The incoming
AC power passes through a "step-up" transformer and is further
increased by the diode - rectifier circuit (including a high voltage
capacitor) to supply the magnetron with high voltage DC.
