Here's how to connect the UM-4 to your computer, a sound module or another MIDI device.
This package does not include a MIDI sound module, MIDI cables, or audio
cables. You will need to provide your own, or purchase them separately.

1. Connections with Your Computer

When using a USB cable to connect your computer to the UM-4, it is not necessary
to turn off the power of your computer.
When you use a USB cable to connect the UM-4 to your computer for the first time,
a dialog box for driver installation will appear. Refer to the procedure " Installing
& Setup the Driver" (P.14).
