Restoring the Factory Settings (Factory Reset)

This restores the settings stored in the RM-2 to the original factory settings.
This operation deletes all of the settings that have been stored on the RM-2.
1. While simultaneously holding down [
on the power.
The "COACH" indicator will flash and the display will show the following.

2. Press the [METRONOME] button to have the Factory Reset be carried out.
Should you decide that you don't want to proceed with the Factory Reset, turn the power off.

If an Error Message Appears

This section lists the different error messages that may appear, along with their meanings
and measures to resolve the problems described.
Symptom 1: If all of the RM-2's parameter indicators are flashing and the following appears in the
display, it could likely mean that the internal memory has been corrupted.

1. When you press the [METRONOME] button, the following appears, and the unit will be in a
state where a Factory Reset can be performed.

2. Press the [METRONOME] button once more to have a Factory Reset be performed.
If this fails to solve the problem, consult your dealer, or the nearest Roland Service Center.
