INSTALLATION
WARNING: Positive terminal (+) with red
terminal boot (14) must be con nect ed FIRST
to prevent sparks from accidental ground ing.
NOTE: BLACK cable (12) should have protective sleeve
(3) completely covering terminal end (4).
Connect the RED battery cable (5) to positive battery
terminal (+) and then the BLACK cable (12) to negative
battery terminal (-) using square nuts (10) and bolts
(11) previously removed. Tighten securely.
Grease battery terminals (13) to prevent cor ro sion.
Slide red terminal boot completey over the positive
terminal (+).
WARNING: Before putting battery into the
battery compartment, ensure the red terminal
boot (14) is covering the positive battery
terminal (+).
Place battery into battery compartment.
Using a 7/16 inch (11mm) wrench or socket, install
larger RED (+) battery cable (5) to solenoid stud (6).
Tighten securely.
Pull protective sleeve (3) up to expose terminal end
(4).
Hand-tighten BLACK (-) battery cable (12) to the trac-
tor frame above the right rear tire using silver ground
screw (2) previoulsy removed.
Using a ½ inch (13mm) wrench or socket, tighten the
silver ground screw (2) to the tractor frame.
Close battery door (8) and secure using battery door
latch (7) and battery door holders (9).
CAUTION: Battery door stand (7) must be secured in
battery door holders (9) above battery door (8) when in
the closed position.
TO REPLACE LED HEADLIGHT
Raise hood.
Disconnect harness from LED light.
Remove mounting screws to remove LED light, refl ector
and lens.
Replace LED light, refl ector, or lens as needed.
Reinstall using mounting screws previously removed.
Reconnect harness to LED light.
Close hood.
INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS
Loose or damaged wiring may cause your tractor to run
poorly, stop running, or prevent it from starting.
Check wiring.
TO REPLACE FUSE
Replace with 30 amp automotive-type plug-in fuse. The
fuse holder is located behind the dash.

STORAGE

TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL ASSEMBLY
(See Fig. 54)
Raise hood.
Unsnap headlight wire connector.
Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood at sides, tilt toward
engine and lift off of tractor.
To replace, reverse above procedure.

TRANSMISSION
REMOVAL/RE PLACE MENT
Should your transmission require removal for service or
re place ment, it should be purged after reinstallation and
before operating the tractor. See "PURGE TRANS MIS SION"
in the Operation section of this manual.
ENGINE
TO AD JUST THROTTLE CON TROL CABLE
The throttle control has been preset at the factory and
ad just ment should not be necessary. If adjustment is nec-
es sary, see engine manual.
TO AD JUST CHOKE CON TROL
The choke control has been preset at the factory and ad just-
ment should not be necessary. If adjustment is necessary,
see engine manual.
