Changing the Hydraulic Filter
1. Lower any attachments, engage the parking
brake, shut off the engine, and remove the key.
2. Turn the filter counterclockwise, remove and
discard it.
3. Apply a thin coat hydraulic fluid to the rubber
gasket on the replacement filter.
4. Fill the filter with clean fluid.
5. Install the replacement filter. Tighten it
clockwise until the filter contacts the filter head,
then tighten the filter an additional 3/4 turn.
6. Start the engine and let it run for about 2
minutes.
7. Shut off the engine and check for leaks.
Checking the Hydraulic Lines
Check the hydraulic lines for leaks, loose fittings, kinked lines, loose mounting supports,
wear, and deterioration. Make necessary repairs before operating.
Plow Maintenance
Checking the Plow Vibrator Oil
Contact with hot parts can cause burns. Only touch the machine when it is cool or
wear gloves.
1. With the vibrator horizontal, check the oil level
at the sight glass
2. Add fluid at the fill
level at the halfway point on the sight glass.
