FUEL

Add fuel to the generator in a well-ventilated area. Fuel only outdoors. Keep
gasoline away from appliance, such as pilot lights, barbecues, electric
appliances, power tools, etc. Spilled fuel is not only a fire hazard, it causes
environmental damage. Fuel carefully to avoid spilling fuel. Wipe up spills
immediately. Do not fill the fuel tank above the upper level mark (red) on the
fuel strainer. After fueling, reinstall the fuel tank cap securely.
When appropriate, with the engine stopped, check the fuel level. If the fuel level
is low, wait for the generator to cool off and refill the fuel tank.
This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline with a pump octane
rating 86 or higher. Refer to "FUEL RECOMMENDATIONS" (see page 18) for
additional fuel recommendations.
Fuel can damage paint and plastic. Be careful not to spill fuel when filling your fuel
tank. Damage caused by spilled fuel is not covered under the Distributor's Limited
Warranty.
Gasoline is highly flammable and
explosive.
You can be burned or seriously injured
when handling fuel.
• Stop the engine and let it cool before
handling fuel.
• Keep heat, sparks, and flame away.
• Handle fuel only outdoors.
• Keep away from your vehicle.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
