Seats

Risk of accident
Only adjust the seats when the vehicle is
stationary. You could otherwise lose control
of the vehicle as a result of an unexpected
seat movement.
Risk of injury
Make sure that nobody can be trapped as
the seat is adjusted.
Your seat must be adjusted in such a way
that you can wear the seat belt correctly
( page 31).
Observe the following points:
Position the backrest almost vertically.

Your arms should be slightly bent when
you are holding the steering wheel.
The distance from the pedals should be
such that you can depress them fully.
The head restraint should support the
back of your head at about eye level.
Failing to observe these notes could result

in injury.
Seat positions which do not allow you to
wear your seat belt correctly are a safety
hazard and must therefore be avoided.

Getting started
Remove the key from the ignition lock when
leaving the vehicle, even if you are only leav-
ing it for a short time.
The seats can be adjusted when the key is
removed from the ignition lock or a door is
open.
For this reason, children should never be left
unsupervised in the vehicle.
Switch on the ignition. Turn the ignition
to position 2 ( page 35).
