6-Cylinder Direct Injection 3.0L 4V TFSI Supercharged Engine - Edition 01.2016
– Pivot the tensioner clockwise -arrow- to release the tension on
the ribbed belt.
– Remove the ribbed belt and secure the tensioning element
with Locking Pin - T10060A- .
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
– Place the ribbed belt over the pulley as illustrated:
1 - Tensioner
2 - Supercharger
3 - Idler roller
4 - Vibration damper
Note
When installing the ribbed belt, make sure it is seated correctly
on the pulleys.
– Start the engine and check the belt routing.

Removing
– Remove the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor ribbed belt.
Refer to ⇒ "1.2 Supercharger Ribbed Belt, Removing and In‐
stalling", page 51 .
– Remove the bolt -1- and remove the ribbed belt tensioner
-2-.
Note
Ignore Locking Pin - T10060A- .
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
• Tightening specification. Refer to
charger Ribbed Belt Drive", page 50
– Install the supercharger ribbed belt. Refer to
charger Ribbed Belt, Removing and Installing", page 51
