Port Replicator

You can use an optional port replicator. This device frees you from being bothered by a lot of
cable connections when you carry the computer. It also allows you to connect various periph-
erals.
Connect the port replicator to the expansion bus connector (A) on the rear side of the com-
puter.
For further information, refer to the instruction manual of the port replicator.
CAUTION
Make sure the slide cover is completely open.
Hot or warm docking/undocking is not possible with the port replicator.
When an external display is connected to the port replicator and the 1280 x 1024 resolution is selected, the characters
may be blurred on the external display. In this case, select the lower resolution.
To boot the computer from a USB floppy disk drive or a USB CD/DVD drive, be sure to connect the USB drive to the
USB port on the computer, not to the USB port on the port replicator.
You cannot use the AC adaptor (CF-AA1653A) included with this computer for the port replicator. Contact Panasonic
Technical Support.

To connect a USB 2.0 device, use the USB port of the computer.
NOTE
When you do not use the expansion bus connector, close the slide cover so that portion (B)
matches the mark (C).
