Press (SOURCE) repeatedly to select the
radio.

Press (MODE) repeatedly to select the
band.

Press the number button ( (1) to (6) ) on
w hich the desired station is stored.
Tip
Press eit her side of (DISC/PRESET) t o receive t he
st at ions in t he order t hey are st ored in t he memory
(Preset Search f unct ion).
If preset t uning does not w ork
Press either side of (SEEK) to search for
the station (automatic tuning).
Scanning stops when the unit receives a
station. Repeat until the desired station is
received.
Tips
• If aut omat ic t uning st ops t oo f requent ly, t urn on
t he Local Seek t o limit seek t o st at ions w it h
st ronger signals (see " Changing t he sound and
display set t ings," page 18).
• If you know t he f requency of t he st at ion you
w ant t o list en t o, press and hold eit her side of
(SEEK) t o locat e t he approximat e f requency,
t hen press (SEEK) repeat edly t o f ine adjust t o
t he desired f requency (manual t uning).
If FM st ereo recept ion is poor
Select monaural reception mode.
(see "Changing the sound and display
settings," page 18).
The sound improves, but becomes
monaural ("ST" disappears).
Note
If int erf erence occurs, t his unit w ill aut omat ically
narrow t he recept ion f requency t o eliminat e noise
(IF AUTO f unct ion). In such cases, some FM st ereo
broadcast s may become monaural w hile in t he
st ereo recept ion mode.
Tip
To alw ays hear FM st ereo broadcast s in st ereo, you
can change t he IF AUTO set t ing and w iden t he
f requency signal recept ion (see " Changing t he
sound and display set t ings," page 18). Not e t hat
some int erf erence may occur in t his set t ing.

You can manually preset the desired stations
on any chosen number button.

Press (SOURCE) repeatedly to select the
radio.

Press (MODE) repeatedly to select the
band.
3
Press either side of (SEEK) to tune in the
station that you w ant to store.
4
Press the desired number button ( (1) to
(6) ) for 2 seconds until "M EM " appears.
The number button indication appears in
the display.
Note
If you t ry t o st ore anot her st at ion on t he same
number but t on, t he previously st ored st at ion w ill
be erased.
