St oring only t he desired
st at ions
You can manually preset the desired stations
on any chosen number button.

Press (SOURCE) repeatedly to select the
radio.

Press (MODE) repeatedly to select the
band.

Turn the SEEK/ AM S control dial to tune
in the station that you w ant to store.

Press the desired number button ( (1) to
(6) ) until " M EM " appears.
The number button indication appears in
the display.
Note
If you t ry t o st ore anot her st at ion on t he same
number but t on, t he previously st ored st at ion w ill
be erased.
Receiving t he st ored
st at ions

Press (SOURCE) repeatedly to select the
radio.

Press (MODE) repeatedly to select the
band.
3
Press the number button ( (1) to (6) ) on
w hich the desired station is stored.

If preset t uning does not w ork
— Automatic tuning/Local Seek M ode
Automatic tuning:
Turn the SEEK/ AM S control dial to search
for the station.
Scanning stops when the unit receives a
station. Turn the SEEK/AMS control dial
until the desired station is received.
Local Seek M ode:
If the automatic tuning stops too
frequently, press (SENS/BTM) repeatedly
until " LOCAL-ON " appears.
" LCL " indicator is displayed.
Only the stations with relatively strong
signals will be tuned in.
Tip
If you know t he f requency of t he st at ion you w ant
t o list en t o, t urn t he SEEK/AM S cont rol dial unt il
t he desired f requency appears (manual t uning).
If FM st ereo recept ion is poor
— M onaural M ode
During radio reception, press (SENS/BTM)
repeatedly until " M ONO-ON " appears.
" M ONO " indicator is displayed.
The sound improves, but becomes
monaural ("ST" disappears).
To return to normal mode, select "MONO-
OFF."
