Registering the C3050

Open the portable's flap. The display shows the current system name or
No system selected for 2 seconds.
Press Í . The display shows WIRELESS SYSTEMS .
Note: Your portable can be registered to six or nine different systems.
If all six or nine system name locations are used, you must
deregister a system name. See "Deregistering the C3050" on
page 6.
Press ADD to establish a radio link. The display briefly shows Adding
SYSTEM and the next system number. ADD is not displayed if all the
system names are used.
If a radio link is established, the display shows Pswd: .
If a radio link is not established, the display shows No connection .
Close the portable's flap and repeat the procedure from step 1.
Note: If more than 30 minutes have elapsed since the last registration,
set Mstr Reg Enbl: to Y again.
Enter the registration password. The default is
¶ ™ £ ¢ § (RADIO). The display shows WTN: .
If the registration password is not correct, the display shows
Invld Pswd . Close the portable's flap and repeat the procedure from
step 1.
Enter the four-digit wireless terminal number (WTN). The display
shows Enter name .
If the WTN is incorrect, the display shows Invld WTN . If the registration
fails, the display shows Reg failed .
If you attempt to register the C3050 to the same system twice, the
display shows the registered name, for example
Registered as NORTEL 1 .
Enter the system name (up to 16 characters), for example NORTEL 1.
Keep pressing the button that has the letter you want until the letter
appears on the display. For example, press ∞ three times to display
the letter L.
