13 Checking the Power Tool

To shut off the engine:
1
► Release the throttle trigger (1) and throttle trigger
lockout (2).
► Depress the stop switch (3).
The engine stops.
The cutting attachment will continue to move for a short time
after the throttle trigger is released. Take care to avoid
contact after releasing the throttle trigger and when setting
down the trimmer / brushcutter.
Depress the stop switch to shut off the engine. After the stop
switch is used to stop the engine, it automatically springs
back and the ignition system returns to the run position. If
the engine is warm, it may be possible to start it by simply
pulling the starter rope with no further adjustments.
