9. Reinstall belt guide over crankshaft and secure to
deck with two tapping screws.
10. Reinstall wave washer and blade adapter onto
crankshaft.
11. Reinstall blade. Refer to Operator's Manual for
installation procedure.
12. Advance to step 20.

13. Secure clutch baffle to deck with four hex bolts and
four flange nuts.
14. Reinstall belt guide over crankshaft and secure to
deck with two tapping screws.

15. Reinstall clutch and secure to crankshaft with two flat
steel washers, one hardened steel washer and 1 hex
bolt. Torque hardware to 67.8 N•m – 71.2 N•m
(50 lb-ft – 52.5 lb-ft). See Figure 15.

16. Reinstall clutch cable spring hook onto clutch
actuation lever and reposition cable adjustment barrel
into cable bracket.
17. Align clutch anchor slot with bolt bracket and reinstall
anchor bolt.
IMPORTANT: It may be necessary to insert a pry bar or
similar tool through actuation lever to hold lever in place in
next step.
18. With assistance from an adult helper, rotate clutch
actuation lever as far clockwise as possible and
reinstall spring hook onto spring anchor bracket.
