Function of Active Emergency Stop Assist
Active Emergency Stop Assist monitors the steer-
ing wheel as well as the accelerator and brake
pedals. If the system detects a lack of driver activ-
ity and the vehicle threatens to leave the lane, a
warning can be issued and an emergency stop ini-
tiated.
Vehicles without Driving Assistance Package: The
system is available from a speed of approx.
37 mph (60 km/h).
Vehicles with Driving Assistance package: If
Active Steering Assist is switched off, the system
Assist.
