Parental control

Some discs are specified not suitable
for children. Such discs can be
prevented from play back with the
unit.

Note:
• If each setup (page 46~52) has been
completed, the unit can always be
worked under the same conditions
(especially with DVD discs).
Each setup will be retained in the
memory if you turn the power off.
• D e pe nding on the discs, the unit ca n-
not lim it pla yba ck.
• S om e discs m a y not be e ncode d with
spe cific ra ting le ve l inform a tion though
its disc ja cke t sa ys "a dult". F or those
discs, the a ge re striction will not work.
• D o not forget the password. If you forget
the password, contact customer service.

Preparation:
• T urn O N the T V and set to the video input m ode.
• M ake sure TV/VCR/DVD switch has been slided to V C R /D V D .
Then press DVD to select the D V D mode. (The D V D indicator will light)

To unlock the Parental Control Setting
C ancel the pa ssword so as to set the P arental level freely again,

P ress SETUP MENU in the stop m ode.
P ress or to select "P are ntal".
T hen press ENTER.
P ress or to select "P arental 8",
then press ENTER until the level you
desire appears (e.g.: 1).
P re ss once to select "P assword
T hen press Number keys to input a 4-
digit pa ssword (e .g.: 1 2 3 4 ).
• If you input a wrong num ber, press
CANCEL.
• Be sure to rem em ber this num ber!
Level 1: D V D software for adults cannot be playe d back.
Level 8: All DV D software can be played back.
S elect from level 1 to le vel 8.
O n a scale of 1-8, "1" is the m ost restrictive.
P ress ENTER.
