10. POWER SOURCES
T his unit should be ope ra te d only from the type of power source indicated on the ra ting plate. If you are not
sure of the type of power supply to your hom e, consult your appliance dealer or local power com pany. For
units inte nde d to ope rate from ba tte ry power, or other sources, refer to the operating instructions.
11. GROUNDING OR POLARIZATION
T his unit is e quippe d with a pola rize d a lternating-current line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the
othe r). T his plug will fit into the powe r outlet only one way. T his is a safety feature. If you are unable to inse rt
the plug fully into the outle t, try reve rsing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your e lectrician to
re pla ce your obsole te outle t. D o not de feat the safety purpose of the polarized plug, if your unit is equippe d
with a 3 -wire grounding-type plug, a plug having a third (grounding) pin. T his plug will only fit into a ground-
ing-type powe r outle t. T his too, is a sa fety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet,
conta ct your e le ctricia n to re pla ce your obsolete outlet. D o not defeat the safety purpose of the grounding-
type plug.
12. POWER-CORD PROTECTION
P owe r-supply cords should be route d so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by item s place d
upon or a ga inst the m , pa ying pa rticula r attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point
