    Setting up the printer Handhold Set up the printer and print media handling options Place the printer on any input options you may have. Ask someone to help you lift the printer by the handholds and lower it onto the duplex unit, optional drawer, table or printer cabinet.

    Excess weight may damage it. Note: The finisher must be positioned directly above the printer and below other print media handling options. It cannot be used with a high-capacity output stacker. You can only put either one 5-bin mailbox (T632 only) or one output expander on top of the finisher.

Note: Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the system board access cover and to install some of the cards.

    Connect the printer to the computer using a USB, parallel, or serial cable. A USB port requires a USB cable such as Lexmark part number 12A2405 (2 m [6.5 ft]). Be sure to match the USB symbol on the cable to the USB symbol on the printer.

    Verify that the trays are configured for the sizes and types of print media you loaded. If the printer is attached to a network, print a network setup page to verify the network connection. This page also provides important information that helps you configure for network printing.

    To print Quick Reference information stored on the CD: Launch the CD. Click Quick Reference. Print the documents. The same Quick Reference pages are stored in the printer. To print them: Make sure the printer is on. Press Menu until you see Help Menu, and then press Select.
