Removing a Memory Module

Important Before replacing a DCPMM memory module configured in
Required Tools
None
Procedure
1. Unpack the new component on a clean ESD-protected work surface
2. Open the cabinet front door
3. Open the cabinet rear door
4. Power off the partition
5. Disconnect all the cables from the server modules included in the partition
1. Check that all cables are correctly labelled.
2. Disconnect the cables to the power supply.
3. Disconnect the cables to the LAN.
6. Unplug all the PSUs
For each PSU, perform the following steps.
1. Pull the latch of the PSU up.
Application Direct mode, back up the data present on the
memory module, as you would with any other disk.
