The rear roof panel needs to be
removed last.
1. Open the rear doors and the
tailgate window.
2. Locate the wire harness and washer
hose on the driver side rear inside
corner of the vehicle.
3. Release the locking tab by pushing
it down.
4. Push the tab inward when pulling
down to disconnect and remove the
wiring harness.
5. Push the release button on the hose
connector and pull down to remove
the washer hose.
6. Secure the wiring harness to the
body side by plugging it into the
receptacle and pushing up on the
locking tab. Secure the washer hose
by snapping it into the top of the
body side receptacle.

7. Remove the fastener(s) that secures the
rear roof panel at the C-pillar using the
provided head driver and ratchet. A
2-door vehicle has one fastener, a 4-door
vehicle has two fasteners.
8. Remove the four fasteners on each side
of your vehicle that secure the rear roof
panel to the vehicle using the provided
head driver and ratchet.
9. With the tailgate window open, grab the
opening with one hand and slightly lift
with the other hand, then lift the rear roof
panel straight up and off. Place the rear
roof panel on a soft surface to prevent
damage. Store the rear roof panel with
the tailgate window open to prevent
damage to the glass seal.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
For a 2-door vehicle, torque the fastener
that secures the rear roof panel to the
C-pillar to 5 lb.ft (6.2 Nm). Torque all other
fasteners that secure the rear roof panel to
your vehicle to 15 ± 2 lb.ft (20 ± 3 Nm).
If your vehicle has a dual top, make sure to
remove the soft top trim piece before
installing the hard top.

The soft top can be partially or fully opened.
To partially open the soft top,
1. Unlatch the two latches in the headliner
then push the soft top up and rearward.
2. Attach the provided straps if you are
off-road driving or driving on rough roads.
To close, rotate the soft top forward, making
sure it latches in place.
To fully open the soft top:
1. Remove the rear quarter windows and
the rear window.
2. Follow the steps to partially open the
soft top.
3. Press down the handle on the driver
side of your vehicle to unlatch the
soft top.
4. Lift and rotate the soft top rearward,
making sure to keep your hands and
fingers free of the mechanism.
5. Press down on the driver side and
passenger side of the soft top to fully
secure it.
To return to the partially open position,
press down and lift the handle on the driver
side of your vehicle to unlatch the soft top,
then rotate the soft top forward.
