Setting Up for MIDI Operation

By connecting the instrument to a computer (or smart device) with a USB cable, MIDI data can be
transferred between the instrument and the computer.
NOTICE
• Make sure to use only the USB cable included with the instrument.
• The USB hub must be self-powered (with its own power source).

Turn off the power of the instrument, and then connect your computer or a smart
device to the instrument with the USB cable.
Read and follow the USB hub instruction manual for proper connection setup.
CAUTION
• Before using a USB hub, be sure to read the relevant precautions.
• Use only a USB hub compatible with the USB standard for power supply.
Output voltage 4.8V - 5.2V
Output current 1.0A or greater

Turn on the power of the instrument.

Set the "USB MIDI" function to ON (page 29).
While holding down the [FUNCTION] button, press the C5 key.
