immediately upon reaching its fi nal place of installation.
All components described in the delivery note must be
carefully verifi ed and checked; any damage must be
reported to the transporter. Check the unit nameplate,
before connecting it to earth, that the model and power
supply voltage are as ordered. Responsibility for any
damage after acceptance of the unit cannot be attributed
to Trane.
1.2.

Checks

Please perform the following checks upon reception
of the unit, for your protection in the event that it is
incomplete (any missing parts) or has incurred damage
during transport:
a)
Before accepting the unit, please verify every
single component in the consignment. Check for
any damage.
b)
In the event that the unit has been damaged,
do not remove the damaged material. A set
of photographs are helpful in ascertaining
responsibility.
c)
Immediately report the extent of the damage to
the transporter and immediately request that they
inspect the unit.
d)
Immediately report the extent of the damage to
the Trane representative, so that arrangements
can be made for the required repairs. In no case
must the damage be repaired before the unit
has been inspected by the representative of the
transportation company.
e)
Upon reception of the unit it is the customer's
responsibility to check that there is no obvious
damage or pieces missing. If this is so, an
immediate complaint must be made to the carrier
for damage or for not-delivery and the Receiving
Card to be found inside the unit electrical panel
must be fi lled in. Photographic evidence must
be provided for macroscopic damage. The card
must be sent to Trane within 8 days of receiving
the goods: if it is not sent back or delayed, the
complaint will not be accepted.

Unit identifi cation
The unit is identifi able through:
Packaging label: the identifi cation data of the
product
Technical Label: the technical data of the product.
Tampering with, removal, lack of identifi cation markings
or anything else does not allow reliable identifi cation
of the product, makes it hard for any installation and
maintenance.
Identifi cation label
It shows the serial number and size, the production year,
the electric data, the main technical data, manufacturer's
logo and address.
In case of loss, request for a duplicate to the after sales
service. Tampering and/or rehandling the label does
not allow the identifi cation of the product, and makes
diffi cult any installation and maintenance operation.
Serial number
The serial number identifi es the unit unambiguously. It
permit to identify the specifi c characteristics of the unit
and the installed components. Without this code it is not
possible to identify the specifi c spare parts of the unit if
repairs are needed.
Thermal Performance
Units are tested at the factory, in separate stations,
according to an internal procedure. Each performance
testing taken in the system is possible if and only if they
are reproduced and maintained in the same conditions
(constant load, constant of temperature and fl ow rates of
evaporation - condensation and recovery, the quality and
the tolerance of the measuring instruments, etc. ..)
The test conditions are those specifi ed by the customer
when ordering: in the absence of precise information,
refer to the nominal values specifi ed in the product
catalog in force on the date of the Order Confi rmation.
