Changing
llhe stepping motor for transverse-drive
Note:
The transverse-drive stepping motor is only exchanged
Removal:
e Remove mains lead from mains socket and machine.
e Remove the needle, the sewing foot and the needle plate.
•
Turn the machine upside down.
e Unscrew the four screws of the baseplate.
e Turn the baseplate around.
e Disconnect the plugs of the eight flat cables from the circuit board (fig.
Press the two catches 1 1 7 of motor plug 1 1 6 together and remove the motor plug upwards.
•

Place the complete baseplate aside.
•
Open the two cable clips 1 1 9 at catch 120 and remov;e the cables form cable clips 1 19.
•
Unscrew both screws 153 of bobbin thread monitor 154 (fig. 38a).
e Remove the bobbin thread
e Remove the complete buttonhole sensor.
•
Remove seven-wire flat cable 200 of the transverse-drive stepping motor from the cable duct.
•
Unscrew the three Philips screws 201 (fig. 38b).
•
Disconnect pull-spring 199 at the transverse-drive stepping motor (fig. 38c).
e Take out the complete transverse-drive stepping motor.
