20. TROUBLESHOOTING
Below is a list of some of the possible malfunctions.
If the problem cannot be resolved as described, contact customer services.
PROBLEM
The appliance does not turn on.
The coffee is not hot.
The coffee is under extracted, weak or not
creamy enough.
The coffee is delivered too slowly or drop
by drop (over extracted).
The machine does not make coffee
Coffee does not come out of one or both
spouts.
The coffee delivered is watery.
The infuser cannot be extracted.
At the end of descaling, the appliance
requests a third rinse
POSSIBLE CAUSE
It is not plugged into the mains socket.
The cups were not preheated.
The internal circuits of the appliance have
cooled down because 2-3 minutes have
passed since the last coffee was made.
Coffee temperature setting too low.
The machine must be descaled
The coffee is ground too coarsely.
The coffee is unsuitable.
Coffee not fresh.
The coffee is ground too finely.
Impurities have been detected in the in-
ternal circuits
The coffee nozzles are blocked.
The pre-ground coffee funnel is clogged.
The machine has not been turned off.
Water tank not filled to the MAX level
during the course of the two rinse cycles

REMEDY
Plug into the mains socket.
Warm the cups by rinsing them with hot
water (Please note: you can use the hot
water function).
Before making coffee, press and hold the
button for 5 seconds to perform a
rinse cycle and warm the internal circuits.
Set a hotter coffee temperature in the set-
tings menu (see "15. Settings menu").
Carry out the descale procedure. Next,
check the water hardness ("12. Measuring
water hardness") and make certain the
machine setting matches the local water
supply hardness ("15. Settings menu").
Adjust the grinding level ("8.6 Adjusting
the coffee grinder"r"). The effect is not
visible until at least 2 coffees have been
made.
Use coffee for espresso machines.
The coffee pack has been opened for too
long and has lost its taste.
Adjust the grinding level ("8.6 Adjusting
the coffee grinder"r"). The effect is not
visible until at least 2 coffees have been
made.
Wait until the machine is ready for use
again, and proceed to select the required
beverage. Contact customer services if
the problem persists.
Clean the nozzles with a cloth. Any res-
idues can be removed with a toothpick,
if necessary.
Open the door and clean the funnel with
the help of a brush.
Turn the machine off by pressing the
button.
Empty the drip tray, fill the tank up to the
MAX level and run the third rinse cycle.
