WARNING: AVOID INJURY. Read and understand
the entire Safety section before attempting any
maintenance.
Tools required:
• Combination and socket wrenches
• Wire cutter and connector crimper
• Overhead hoist or fork lift
Unpack Unit
Remove unit and all other components from the shipping container.
ASSEMBLE AND INSTALL CUTTING UNITS
NOTE: To install the cutting units and connect the hydraulic system
you will use hardware that ships with the Promaster 320 as well as
hardware that ships with the mower unit. Make sure you have all
hardware available when assembling and installing the mower unit.
Park unit on level surface, engage parking brake, shut off engine,
and allow to cool. Disconnect negative battery cable from battery
and isolate.
To assemble:
1. Place suitable container to catch hydraulic fluid under height of
cut cylinder and disconnect hydraulic hoses from cylinder.
Remove height-of-cut hydraulic cylinder from tractor.
2. Raise the unit high enough to allow tire removal and support
with jack stands.
WARNING: ALWAYS chock or block wheels and know
all jack stands are strong and secure and will hold
weight of unit during maintenance.
3. Remove the front tires.
4. On the tractor, locate the supply hydraulic hose that runs
between the oil filter housing and the main pump. Replace the
elbow fitting on the pump with a T-fitting and re-attach the
supply hydraulic hose to the T-fitting. See Figure 3.
5. Remove the larger hydraulic hose from the oil filter housing
and rotate the elbow on the oil filter housing 180 degrees.
Reattach the hydraulic hose. See Figure 3.
6. Locate the return hydraulic line that runs between the main
pump and the hydraulic oil tank. Replace the elbow fitting on
pump with a T-fitting. Re-attach the return hydraulic line to the
T-fitting. See Figure 3.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: All hydraulic fittings may require adjustment for attachment
installation. Ensure that there is proper clearance between the
fittings and the cutting unit hydraulic pump fan shroud.
Supply Hydraulic
Replace elbow fittings with
T-fittings.

Return Hydraulic Line
Remove two elbows,
replace with T-fittings
and re-attach lines.
