PROBLEM
The cooktop cannot
be turned on.
The touchscreen
are unresponsive.
The touchscreen is
difficult to operate.
The glass is scratched.
Some or all displays
flash and there is a
continuous beep.
The automatic
cooking system does
not start-up

TROUBLESHOOTING

POSSIBLE CAUSES
No power.
The controls are locked.
Screen is frozen.
There may be a slight film of
water or oil over the controls
or you may be using the tip
of your finger when touching
the controls.
Rough-edged cookware.
Unsuitable, abrasive scourer or
cleaning products being used.
Liquid has spilled onto the
touch control area.
There are objects (eg utensils)
on the touch control area.
Several touchscreen are
registering continuous contact
(eg due to someone resting
their hand or arm on the touch
control area).
The cooking surface is still hot
'H'. The highest power level is
set to '9'
WHAT TO DO
Ensure the cooktop is
connected to the power
supply and that it is switched
on at the wall. Check whether
there is a power outage in
your home or area. Check the
circuit breaker.
If you've checked everything
and the problem persists,
call your Authorized Service
Centre or Customer Care.
Unlock the controls.
See section 'Key Lock'
for instructions.
Make sure the touchscreen is
dry and use the ball of your
finger when touching the
controls.
Use cookware with flat
and smooth bases. See
'Cookware'.
See 'Care and cleaning'.
Switch the heat to the
cooktop off at the wall and
see 'Care and cleaning'
for instructions.
Remove the objects from the
touch control area.
Remove the cause of
continuous contact.
Check if power slider is set
to '0'.
