If you still have difficulties after following the instructions in this section, disconnect the base unit's
AC adaptor, then reconnect the base unit's AC adaptor. Remove the batteries from the handset,
and then insert them into the handset again.

Cause/solution
R There is no handset registered to the base unit
matching the handset number you entered.
R The handset is not registered to the base unit.
Register the handset (page 45).
R You must subscribe to a Caller ID service. Once you
receive caller information after subscribing to a Caller
ID service, this message will not be displayed.
R A wrong type of battery such as alkaline or
manganese was inserted. Use only the rechargeable
Ni-MH batteries noted on page 4, 8.
R Although the unit tried to connect to the headphone,
the connection has failed.
– Make sure that the headphone is not connected to
other Bluetooth devices.
– The headphone is turned off or the battery is low.
Turn it on or fully charge the headphone.
– The Bluetooth headphone is out of range. Move
closer and try again.
– The Bluetooth headphone is in the cradle. Lift the
headphone.
R Although the unit tried to connect to the headphone,
the connection has failed.
– Make sure that the headphone is not connected to
other Bluetooth devices.
R The same headphone is already paired.
R The same information is already stored in the
phonebook.
Cause/solution
R Place the handset on the base unit or charger to turn on
the handset.
