6. Tighten the sprocket cover screw.

ADJUSTING THE CHAIN TENSION

1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Loosen the sprocket cover screw.
3. Adjust the chain tension until the gap
between the drive teeth and bar is
between 2.5 and 3.5 mm.
To increase the chain tension, turn the
chain tensioning screw clockwise.
To reduce the chain tension, turn the
chain tensioning screw counterclockwise.
NOTE: Frequently check the chain tension
while turning the chain tensioning screw.
NOTE: The temperature of the chain
increases
during
normal
causing the chain to stretch. Check the
chain tension frequently and adjust as
required. A chain that is tensioned while
warm may be too tight upon cooling.
Make sure that the chain tension is
correctly adjusted as specified in these
instructions.
