Before using for the first time
● For reasons of hygiene, discard the
first three fillings of water.
Boiling water
Never remove the water container
from the base (or replace it) while the
appliance is switched on.
Remove the water container from its
base.
Release and open the lid, and fill the
container with water to the desired
level, observing the Min. and Max.
markings.
Before closing the lid and placing the
container back on its base, ensure
that the appliance has not yet been
switched on.
Insert the plug into a suitable wall
socket and press the On/Off switch.
The
boiling
process
reaching the boiling point, the appli-
ance is automatically switched off by
the integral steam cut-off device.
If you want to interrupt the boiling
process, set the On/Off switch to its
Off position. To pour hot water, re-
move the container from its base.
To prevent hot steam from being
emitted, ensure that the lid remains
closed while pouring out the water.
Two-colored LED-indication mounted
in the lower part of the inner housing
serves as indication of the appliance.
When the kettle is put on the round
power base and the power button is in
"off" position, a blue indicator is con-
stantly burning till the kettle is put off
the base or unplugged from the power
supply source. If the power button is
in "on" position a red indicator lights
up that indicates switching on a heat-
ing mode. A blue LED-indication lights
up when switching off a heating mode.
Descaling
Depending on the water quality in
your area, lime deposits may build up
on the heating element. It is advisable
to remove any such deposits at regu-
lar intervals.
A mixture of 0.5 liters of water to two
tablespoons of vinegar essence is suit-
able.
Pour the descaler in.
Switch the appliance on and let the
solution reach boiling point.
Leave it to take effect for a short peri-
od.
To clean the container after descaling,
rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Do not pour descalers down enamel-
coated sinks.

After
General cleaning and care
● Before cleaning the appliance, en-
sure it is disconnected from the power
supply and has cooled down complete-
ly.
● To avoid the risk of electric shock,
do not clean the kettle and the base
with water and do not immerse them
in water. Do not clean under running
water.
● For cleaning, a slightly damp, lint-
free cloth may be used.
● Do not use abrasives or harsh clean-
ing solutions, and do not use hard
brushes for cleaning.
Disposal
Do not dispose of old or defective ap-
pliances in domestic garbage; this
should only be done through public
collection points.
Remarks
The instructions for cordless kettles
shall state that the kettle is only to be
used with the stand provided.
This appliance is intended to be used
in household and similar applications.
