Troubleshooting

If the puller becomes inoperative, refer to the troubleshooting table below. While performing any repairs, inspect the
motor, capstan, and drive train.
Problem
Motor will not run.
Capstan does not rotate
while motor is running.

Probable Cause
No power at supply circuit.
Faulty switch or wiring.
Motor faulty.
Chain broken.
Broken sprocket in gearbox or
stripped shaft in motor.

Probable Remedy
Check power supply with a voltmeter. Refer to
the "Specifications" section of this manual.
Check the switch and wiring for continuity.
Check the motor and wiring for continuity.
Check condition of brushes. Replace any worn
or damaged items.
Replace motor.
Replace chain.
Disassemble puller. Replace any worn or
damaged drive components. Refer to the G6
Service Manual.
