INSPECTION
1. Inspect:
• Camshaft lobes
Blue discoloration/pitting/scratches
Replace the camshaft.
2. Measure:
• Camshaft lobe dimensions
• Out of specification → Replace the cam-
shaft.
Camshaft dimensions:
Intake:
<Limit>:
32.851 mm (1.2933 in)
24.862 mm (0.9788 in)
Exhaust:
<Limit>:
33.500 mm (1.3189 in)
24.856 mm (0.9786 in)
3. Measure:
• Camshaft runout
Out of specification → Replace.
Camshaft runout:
0.03 mm (0.0012 in)
