  • Page 17: Step 5-Installing The Front Panel

Step 5–Installing the Front Panel Step 5–Installing the Front Panel The front panel is required on the QFX10008 to protect fiber optic cabling and to provide additional protection from electromagnetic interference (EMI). The front panel can be installed with or without the optional cable management system.

Figure 15: Attaching Front Panel Brackets Use the final two mounting screws to attach a latch bracket to the top right of the chassis frame so there are brackets on all four corners of the front of the chassis.
  • Page 19: Step 6-Connecting Power To The Chassis

Ground the Chassis To meet safety and electromagnetic interference (EMI) requirements and to ensure proper operation, you must connect the QFX10008 to earth ground before you connect it to power. For installations that require a separate grounding conductor to the chassis, you must attach a protective earthing terminal bracket on the QFX10008.
