Tighten
> • Nut (33) to 2.8 N-m (25 in. lbs.)
19. O-ring (16) in lower body (15).
20. Two body halves together.
21. Four bolts and washers (14).
Q Tighten
• Bolts (14) to 5 N.m (44 in. lbs.).
22. Adapter (30) and bolts (31) (some models).
23. No. 2 inlet-exhaust valve assembly (13).
24. Valve retainer (12).
25. Valve spring (11).
26: Outer O-ring (8) and. inner O-ring (9) in retainer

Remove or Disconnect (Figure 14)
1. Mark the cover and body for assembly.
2. Four screws (1) and washers (2). ;
3. Separate body (14) and cover (3).
4. Piston spring (13).
5. Piston assemblies (5) and (11).
6. Separate the two pistons.
7. O-ring (4) from upper piston (5).
8. Retaining ring (7).
9. Washer (8).
10. Spring (9).
11. Valve (10).
12. O-rings (6 and 12) from piston (11).

• Metal parts with mineral spirits or another suitable
solvent.
Inspect
• Valve seats and piston surfaces for wear and cor­
rosion.'Fleplace as heeded.

Install or Connect )(Figure 14)
1. Lubricate seals, seal grooves, piston bores, and all
moving surfaces with a film of Delco Silicone Lube
(GM P/N 18010909 or equivalent).
• Use only new rubber seals from the repair kit.
2. O-rings (6 and 12) on piston (11).
