J 6217 Valve Connector Seat Installer
Important
•
Do not perform the following procedure
with the valve assembly installed in the gear
housing.
Inspect

BraSs inverted flare connectors (51) for
looseness..
Remove or Disconnect

•
Flaire connectors (51), if necessary, and
disqard. A modified No. 4 screw extractor
may be used to remove the connectors.
Install or Connect

N ew flare connectors (51).
•
Drive connector seats in place using tool
J 6217 (see Figure 29).

NOTICE:
When removing seals, be careful not to score the
housing bore or leakage may result.
Disassemble
1.
Retaining ring (42). Use tool J 4245.
2.
Dust seal (41). Pry with a screwdri ver.
3.
Washer (43).
4.
Seal (44), using a screwdriver.
5.
Bearing (45), if necessary, Use tools J 24655 and
J 8092 (see Figure 30).
