WARNING:
Unplug the floppy disk
drive cable from the system
board (situated below the
power supply as shown).
Unfasten the cables from the clip on
the processor airflow guide.
When reinstalling, remember to route
carefully the floppy disk cable, otherwise
it may touch a hot component.
Remove the two screws on
either side of the front end of
the CD-ROM and FDD.
Pull the CD-ROM
forward by 2" (5cm).
Step 5: Removing/Installing the CD-ROM and FDD
When reconnecting, ensure that cables are routed through the cable guide
as shown, to prevent them from coming into contact with components that
become hot during service.

Unplug the cables at the rear of
the FDD, HDD and CD-ROM. When
reconnecting the FDD, it may be
necessary to remove the CD-ROM (see
Step 5) in order to access the cable
connections at the rear of the FDD.
Disconnect the IDE
and power cables at the
rear of the CD-ROM or
FDD.
The CD-ROM and
FDD may now be
removed from the
chassis.
