Upgrading the Computer
The computer comes with 4 megabytes of graphics memory
preinstalled. You can add a 4-MB graphics memory module for
a total of 8 MB of graphics memory.
1. If you have locked the Smart Cover Lock, use Computer
Setup to unlock it.
2. Turn off the computer and any external devices.
3. Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet, and
disconnect any external devices.
4. Remove the computer cover.
5. Remove the expansion board cage.
6. Locate the graphics memory module socket on the system
board.
7. Install the memory module so that its notch aligns with the
tab in the socket at a 30 degree angle 1, then rotate the
module until it latches into position 2.

8. Replace the computer cover.
