Note: Check the voltage within 10 to 20 seconds as soon as disc has been inserted. Otherwise, following check can not be
done because the voltage at TP8954, at base of Q8901 return to 0V when the Message "PLEASE CHECK THE DISC,
AND FOR STAINS OR SCRATCHES ON DISC" appears.
Check the voltage at emitter of Q8902 on the
DVD Main C.B.A. Is it +5.0 V ?
OK
Check the voltage at TP8971 on the DVD Main C.B.A.
Is it +2.2 V ?
OK
Check the voltage at TP8954 on the DVD Main C.B.A.
Is it become high (+5.0 V) ?
OK
Confirm Wave form at TP8620
from normal DVD Movie or CD.
If the Message "PLEASE CHECK THE DISC, AND
FOR STAINS OR SCRATCHES ON DISC" appears.
IC8001 on the DVD Main C.B.A. is defective.
Replace IC8001 on the DVD Main C.B.A.
