To make more advanced adjustments
1. Click Start, Control Panel, Appearance and Themes, Display.
2. Select the Settings tab, then click the Advanced button.
• If you have Trident Video, select the Television tab. Here you can make further
adjustments to the TV image.
• If you have S3 Video, select the S3DuoVue tab and click TV to make further
adjustments. If the TV option is grayed out, restart with the TV on and connected
to the computer.
3. On some models, the TV Type for your country is automatically detected. (If it is
incorrect, select the correct type on the Display Device tab: NTSC is used in North
and South America, except for Argentina and Brazil; NTSC/Japan in Japan, South
Korea, and Taiwan; and PAL in most other countries.)
On some models, it is necessary to change the Television Type in the Main menu of
the BIOS Setup utility. To do this, restart your computer, and press F2 to start the
BIOS Setup utility when you see the HP logo.
To disable TV
Different models of the notebook PC disable TV mode in different ways.
To return the system to normal LCD display mode, click the television icon in the system
tray and do one of the following, depending on your PC model:
• Click on LCD.
OR
• Click the TV option to deselect it.
OR
• Click Start, Control Panel, Appearance and Themes, Display. On the Settings tab,
click the Advanced button and disable the TV display.
Selecting Exit from the monitor or display icon pop-up menu removes the icon from the
system tray. If you do this, you can access the TV settings from the Control Panel as
described in the above steps. Restart the computer to restore the television icon.
