Using Diagnostics for Windows
The Diagnostics utility includes 2 system scans:
■
Configuration Record compares the notebook configuration
at the time Diagnostics was installed to interim or current
configurations.
■
Diagnostics provides more complete information about your
current configuration as well as options for testing
components.
Both Diagnostics scans are designed to report on Compaq
components. If non-Compaq components are scanned, the results
may be inconclusive.
Installing Diagnostics
The notebook ships with the Diagnostics utility preloaded, but not
preinstalled.
To install Diagnostics, select Start > Software Setup. A setup
wizard loads, and a list of applications is displayed. Select
Diagnostics and follow the instructions on the screen.
