SECTION 6: MAINTENANCE

To reduce risk of shock or
accidental startup, always
disconnect machine from
power before adjustments,
maintenance, or service.

Schedule

For optimum performance from this machine, this
maintenance schedule must be strictly followed.
Ongoing
To minimize your risk of injury and maintain proper
machine operation, shut down the machine imme-
diately if you ever observe any of the items below,
and fix the problem before continuing operations:
Loose or damaged mounting hardware.
Dirty or clogged filters.
Worn or damaged wires.
Any other unsafe condition.
Cleaning/Replacing
Filters
The volume of air filtered has a direct correlation
to when you must clean or replace the filters.
To maintain efficient operation, check the filters
approximately every 40 hours of use in light or
moderately dusty environments. In very dusty
environments, check the filters every eight hours
of use. Always wear a respirator when checking
the filters.

After 300 hours of run time, the Filter 1 light will
turn red to indicate that the HEPA filter needs to
be replaced. After 600 hours of run time, the Filter
2 light will turn red to indicate that the activated
carbon filter needs to be cleaned/replaced. The
lights are blue when the filters are in normal state.
To clean and replace filters:
1.
DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER!
2.
Remove pre-filter from intake side of machine
(see Figure 24).
Tip: Use flat head screwdriver to gently pry
bottom of filter up to remove it, being careful
not to damage filter.
