HANDSET Controls
4. DIR. (Directory) Button: Press to access names and numbers stored in
the DIRECTORY. (See page 20 to 24 for details.)
5. Telephone Keypad: Allows you to make a call depending on pressed
button. (For letters see page 29.)
6. 7 Digit Button: Press to place a local call.
7. Func. (Function)/Tone Button: Press to access special functions
operation in STANDBY mode. (For special functions see page 25.)
Press to change the dialing mode temporarily from Pulse to Tone for
Rotary Service Users. (Press once before entering numbers to access the
answering system or electronic banking services, etc.)
8. Edit/Flash Button: Press to edit listed items. Press to answer a call if you
have Call Waiting.
9. Charge Contacts: For charging battery inside the HANDSET. We
recommend cleaning the charge contacts periodically with a damp cloth.
10. ANTENNA
11. Volume Control (HI, LOW) Switch : Select the volume level (HI, LOW).
12. Batt Low Indicator: Lights up when the battery power is low. (See page
31 for details.)
13. Pause Button: Press to insert a pause while dialing. (You will need the
PAUSE button to dial numbers which use an alternative long distance
access code.)
14. Navigation Buttons (

15. Save/Scan Button: Press to save changes on the listed items. Press to
change the operating channel when you hear interference.
16. 10 Digit Button: Press to place a local call with Area Code.
17. 1+ Digit Button: Press to place a long distance call. (Automatically adds
the number 1 at the beginning of the displayed telephone number.)
18. Delete/Redial Button: Press to delete items or individual characters.
Press to redial the last number called.
