3 Operation
NOTE:
The appliance has an overheating protection circuit. It automatically cuts off the power supply if
the motor is overheated. In this case switch off the vacuum cleaner with the on/off switch and pull
out the plug. Eliminate the cause of overheating (e. g. clogged suction paths or dirty filters). Wait
for about 45 minutes. After the appliance has cooled off, you may use it again.

You can adjust the suction power to suit the type of floor be-
ing cleaned.
Increase the suction power as required using the '
button (Fig. 18/1) or decrease the suction power with

Using the bypass vent (Fig. 19/1) you can quickly re-
duce the suction power if less power is needed, or to
e. g. to release objects accidentally sucked in.
NOTE:
The bypass vent (Fig. 19/1) must be completely shut
when vacuuming so that the suction power is not
reduced unnecessarily.

for textiles such as drapes, curtains, etc.
low suction (2 LEDs):
for upholstery, upholstered furniture, etc.
medium suction (3 LEDs):
for short-pile carpets, runners, etc.
high suction (4 LEDs):
for hard floors, e.g. parquet, tiles, lami-
nate, etc.
maximum suction (5 LEDs):
for deep-pile carpets, runners, etc.
