INITIAL SETTINGS
Plug & Play Set
Auto Channel Set
The Plug & Play Set simplifies installation by guiding you
through the procedures of setting the language, clock and tuner
channels – simply follow the on-screen menus that appear.
NOTE:
If there is a power cut, or if you press POWER (1) or SET UP
while Auto Channel Set is in progress, Auto Channel Set will be
interrupted; be sure to turn off the unit power once and try again
from step A.
ATTENTION
If you perform Auto Channel Set successfully during
installation, there's no need to separately perform the
Language Select, Clock Set or Channel Set procedures, but if
adjustments become necessary, they can be performed as
follows:

Before starting, make sure of the following:
● The TV aerial cable should be connected to the unit.
● The unit's AC power cord should be connected to an AC outlet.
● The TV should be set to its AV mode (with AV, S-VIDEO or
Component Video connection (

● Slide the TV/VCR/DVD switch to the right.

Turn on the unit.
Press POWER (1) on the unit or Remote. The Language
Select screen appears on the TV screen.

Select the language.
Press rt to move the
highlight bar (arrow) to the
language of your choice,
then press ENTER or e.
● The Clock Set screen appears.
NOTE:
The selected language is only available on the screen for VCR deck. Set
manually the on-screen language for the DVD deck. (

Set the time.
Press rt to set the hour,
then press ENTER or e.
● Press and hold rt to change
the time by 30 minutes.
D
Set the date.
Press rt to set the date, then press ENTER or e.
● Press and hold rt to change the date by 15 days.

Set the year.
Press
to set the year.

Start Auto Channel Set.
Press SET UP.
DO NOT press any button on the unit or Remote
while Auto Channel Set is in progress.
● Receivable channels in your area are
automatically assigned to the CH +/–
buttons, and non-receivable
channels are skipped.
● When Auto Channel Set is
completed, "SCAN COMPLETED"
will appear on the TV screen. If
"SCAN COMPLETED –NO SIGNAL–
" is displayed on the TV screen, make sure that the aerial cable is
connected to the unit properly and press ENTER on the Remote. The
unit will try Auto Channel Set again.
