10.3.2 WAN to LAN Rules

The default rule for WAN to LAN traffic blocks all incoming connections (WAN to LAN). If you wish to
allow certain WAN users to have access to your LAN, you will need to create custom rules to allow it.
See the following figure.

10.4 Logs

A log is a detailed record that you create for packets that either match a rule, don't match a rule or both when
you are creating/editing a firewall rule (see Figure 10-5). You can also choose not to create a log for a rule in
this screen. An attack automatically generates a log. Logs can be sent to an e-mail account or syslog server
that you specify in the E-mail screen (see the section on E-mail logs).
Use this screen to view your firewall and content filtering logs. This screen is not available on all models.
Click Advanced Setup, Firewall, and then Logs to open the Logs screen.
